The Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza is the largest and most important Pharaonic museum in the world, the largest museum in Egypt and one of the leading scientific, historical and archaeological study centers on the globe. The museum's twenty-first century galleries, including the entire Tutankhamun Collection is located in an iconic and distinctive building on the edge of the desert abutting the Giza Pyramids world heritage site. The Museum, designed by Heneghan Peng Architects, covers 3,500 years of ancient Egyptian history and house more than 100,000 artifacts.
We joined the Grand Egyptian Museum in May 2010 as part of Hill lnternational's consultancy team.
Working within the project team from 2010 to 2017, we provided a wide spectrum of on site project services including, but not limited to, exhibition Projet Management and Cost Management advisory services, support for international exhibition designer selection, exhibition design and content reviews, as well as client curatorial committee coordination. We collaborated directly with the Supreme Council of Antiquities Executive and Curatorial Committees on a multi-phase program of exhibition gallery development.

Additionally, we also supported the Museum's pre-opening preparations, which broadened substantially in 2018 and 2019.
During this phase, we assessed the Grand Egyptian Museum's operating requirement and opportunities for private-public partnerships.
Our team stayed on site for a total of 10 months to lead the preparation of a full operating plan for the Grand Egyptian Museum. We also extensively participated of tender documentation for the selection of an international operations management service provider as well as the service provider prequalification submission assessment and analysis, as well as full tender reviews from shortlisted tenderers on site within the Project Tender Commitee.
