How design can impact on human actions

We were asked to design a special exhibition exploring the impact we all have on the climate, to launch a season of talks and events at the Manchester Museum. The engaging narrative deliberately set out to avoid negative stories of climate change, focusing instead on giving visitors opportunities to express what matters to them while encouraging civic action.

Individual choices build collective change

The exhibition demonstrated how our ways of life have impacted the climate, positively or negatively. Inspired by the idea of balance, cause and effect, and the way individual actions can have a collective impact, our narrative environment allowed each visitor’s choices to shape the course of their experience. The project was nominated for the FX Awards Best UK Project of 2016.
